The “social origin” from which DTM2 dancers, actors, musicians and media artist come together to work with Artistic Director and choreographer, Lisa Naugle, reflects a network of national and international artists who value improvisation as a exploratory approach to creative process and performance. Choreogrphy, music composition, interactive media can weave together and allow structure to emerge during performance compositions or composition can be set in advance or pre-recorded.

The interweaving of approaches allows DTM2 members and associated collaborators to perform in a wide variety of venues; theaters, galleries, museums, out-of-doors, and telepresence situations where performers are geographically distant. Some of the most prominent venues to date are the the Brazilian Embassy, The Marco Museum of Contemporary Art, Conservatorio of Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy, Symphony Space in New York City. Some of the most distinctive sites for performances were at the ancient and remote village of El Acebuchal and the Ice Caves in Spain.

We work with a wide range of elements: still and moving projection screens, live and pre-recorded video, found objects, and architectural designed performative objects.

DTM2 provides opportunities for professional artists to meet online and collaboration, students artists to engage with each other create and perform new works with professionals.

Special Thanks to the The Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy for supporting dance and music student collaborations and performance for the the past 10 years and to Music composers, the Manhattan Camerate with Lucia Caruso on Piano and Pedro da Silva on Portuguese guitar, Italian jazz trombones and tubist of improvisation Giancaro Schiaffini, Richard Santoboni who we have collaborated for many years and presented work around the globe.

Members of DTM2 Ensemble are currently working on an online project to be produced in Italy in 2021.
